Antenatal Shared Care (ANSC)
A program co-ordinated jointly by the Royal Hospital for Women (RHW), South Eastern Sydney (SESDGP) and Eastern Sydney (ESDGP) Divisions of General Practice.
Objectives:
- Improve the quality of care for women during their pregnancy
- Improve communication between GPs, hospitals and the community
Activities:
- Hold intake meetings twice a year to orientate new GPs into the ANSC program
- Offer Obstetric and Gynaecology updates twice a year to maintain shared care GPs affiliation with the RHW
- Update and distribute ANSC Protocol/resources to all shared care GPs
- Offer small group tutorials and clinical attachments (antenatal, neonatal, problems in early pregnancy, gynaecological, colposcopy, endogynaecological and fertility clinics)
- Participate in the RHW's ANSC management committee
