Vision
For the Division to become the lead advocate of Primary Health Care and preferred resources provider for GPs.
South Eastern Sydney Division of General Practice Ltd is one of six Divisions geographically located within the South Eastern Sydney/Illawarra Area Health Service (SESIAHS).
The Division was formally inaugurated in May 1993 and incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1984 on 6 December 1993.
The geographic boundary of the Division extends from as far as far south as La Perouse, west to Botany, Alexandria and Mascot and taking in Waverley and Randwick in the north. Postcodes: 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2024, 2031, 2032, 2033, 2034, 2035, 2036.
The current membership consists of 240 Full Members and 34 Associate Members. The total number of practices within the Division boundaries is 87.
Many GPs are multi-lingual and are able to provide medical services in 20 different languages to a varied ethnic population.
We offer a number of different programs including Aged Care, Health Promotion, Home Medication Review, Immunisation, IM/IT, Mental Health, National Prescribing Service, Practice Support and Women's Health.
Key directions for the Division in engaging General Practice at the local level will be a continuing focus on education and practice support.
Division's core business is to support its members and thereby facilitate delivery of efficient, comprehensive, competent and relevant services to our local population.
